That Chris Rock-Doris Burke interview that Phil Jackson loved so much

During last night’s game, Doris Burke was working the sideline and tried to interview Chris Rock who was sitting next to the Laker bench along with the likes of Adam Sandler, David Spade, and Kevin James. Phil Jackson let the two of them know he was less than pleased with it. Doris handled it quite well because she’s pretty awesome, but the exchange had me cracking up while watching it. Woj on Gasol: “He wants his lunch money back & he’s coming for KG”

Adrian Wojnarowski of Yahoo Sports has a fantastic read on the convincing win for the Lakers in Game 1 of the NBA Finals, with a perspective focusing on the mindset of Pau Gasol. I always found the labeling of Gasol as soft to be pretty rediculous but Woj is right: last night Gasol completely destroyed KG. The Lakers have an advantage against every team in the NBA in terms of talent because no one has the same combination of length and athleticism. Throw in the fact that Pau has a major chip still on his shoulder and you realize how much of an uphill battle this will be for Boston. Yeah, just go read Woj’s piece. [Yahoo Sports]

Alan Sepinwall has gone back during the last couple of summers revisiting the first two season of the best TV show I’ve ever seen, The Wire. He has brought back The Wire discussions this year, starting today with his in depth discussion of Season 3. This is highly recommended. [What's Alan Watching?]
